Airbnb Reviews: A Practical Guide for Hosts
Airbnb uses a two-way review system. The Airbnb Help Center sets out the current timings and the review policy.
How it works
- Guests and hosts review each other after checkout, within a time window set by Airbnb
- Reviews include star ratings by category and a public comment
- Hosts can respond publicly
Reviews that break the rules
Airbnb's review policy describes reviews that can be removed (e.g. irrelevant, biased or retaliatory reviews). Use the Help Center route, not arguments.
Good habits
- Set clear expectations in the listing
- Message on day 1
- Leave honest guest reviews promptly
