Airbnb Turnover Checklist: Clean, Reset and Inspect Between Guests
A turnover is more than cleaning. You also inspect for damage, restock, reset the space and get it ready for the next guest's arrival time.
1. Inspect (first 5 minutes)
- Walk through and take timestamped photos of every room
- Note damage and missing items. Platforms have time limits for damage claims, so check the platform's current resolution rules
- Check for left items
2. Clean
- Linen and towels into the wash
- Kitchen: dishes, appliances, fridge emptied
- Bathroom disinfection
- Floors, mirrors, high-touch points
3. Restock
- Toilet paper, soap, shampoo, dish soap, sponge
- Coffee, tea, sugar, salt, oil
- Bin liners, cleaning spray, spare bulbs
4. Reset and confirm
- Thermostat, lights, blinds as in the listing photos
- Lockbox or code reset
- Message the guest that the unit is ready
